Against the World was announced at Hanson Day 2019 as the 7th Hanson album/project slated to be released in 2020. The 2019 Wintry Mix tour debuted some of the new songs. Due to the pandemic, the album release was pushed to 2021.
It was released as 7 singles over 7 months beginning in May 2021.
